MEET SOFIA

Sofia Meakin is a Swiss rower and Olympian. She discovered rowing at the age of 14 and quickly developed a strong ambition to pursue the sport at the highest level. Drawn to the discipline, teamwork and camaraderie of rowing, she built her career around a commitment to continuous improvement and performance.

Her career highlights include becoming U23 World Champion in 2019, European Vice Champion in 2020 and a World Cup winner in 2021. In 2024, she represented Switzerland at the Paris Olympic Games, marking an important milestone in her sporting journey. She continues to pursue her ambitions in rowing with a long-term focus on the road to LA 2028.

Sofia represents Club Aviron Vésenaz and has developed a strong interest in business, leadership and communication alongside her sporting career. She graduated from EHL in 2025 and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree at EDHEC Business School.

Goal-oriented and driven by empowerment, Sofia approaches both sport and her professional development with commitment, dedication and resilience. Her experience as an elite athlete has shaped a mindset centred on discipline, teamwork and perseverance, while her academic background allows her to bring a broader perspective to her work with brands and partners.
